Blogging Basics for Beginners



Today’s blogging is much more than fashion. Almost everybody is engaged in blogging. It can be very profitable tool if you use it correctly. Actually your blog is the foundation of your online presence and heart of your business. There is no rule of thumb in blogging. You can express your views, thoughts, opinion, ideas and experiences in any topic at any time except vulgarity.
This article is especially for those folks who are little known about blogging. That’s why I have expanded this article in terminological manner.
What is a Blog?
BLOG is a short form of web log coined by Jorn Barger and a word blog was coined by Peter Merholz. A blog is a type of website or simply your online diary from which you can organize your views and thoughts and share your ideas and experiences in any topic you expert with the world. Until 1990 single-author blog (SABs) were found with single subject but more recently multi-author blog (MABs) have widened with multi-subject. Today’s other form of blogging like moblogging, video blogging; photoblogging and microblogging are also fashioned.
What is Blogging?
Owning a blog and publish posts regularly is blogging. In other words, authoring a blog is called blogging. Act of blogging is like writing an article and publish in a journal. Being a blogger blogging provides an amazing opportunity to share your brain with the world.
Who is blogger?
A blogger is someone who own, manage and design a blog. When an individual get registered in any blog hosting site and create his first post deemed a blogger. Blogging is an activity which is done on regular basis to establish strong online presence. It is also helpful to build your online business and money too.
What is blogosphere?
All blogs on Internet are collectively known as blogosphere. The second name of blogging world is blogosphere. All blogs of blogosphere are interconnected and socially networked through blogroll, backlinks and comments. When an individual own a blog and publish post contribute to blogosphere like me and my blog.
Where to blog?
Own a blog is very simple but your reason of blogging is important. Whether you intend to start a blog for fun or for business would determine your blog platform you go well with.  There are several free hosting site like wordpress.com, blogger.com, livejournal.com, journalhome.com, tblogs.com, blogcity.com, beginners may go with and own their blog without getting their own domain. Wordpress.com is the best bet that allows you more flexibility and enough room to customize your needs. Having setting up your blog start to write at least 5-8 articles using quality contents before publishing and promoting your blog.
Why to blog?
. Everyone intend to make an online identity as much as possible. In general, folks are using facebook and twitter to make it possible. Blog can be an incredible tool to expose you online. It is really a win-win situation if you own at least one blog. There are several reasons behind why to blog—
·         You can strengthen your online presence with blogging.
·         You get your product or business much exposed online.
·         You can help a lot needy persons with your expert knowledge.
·         You can make huge money through your blog.
·         You can build relationship and online community.
·         Blog can be a big platform to your passion.
·         Self- gratification is another reason to blog.
How to promote blog?
Every blog success is depends on its promotion techniques. Here are few different strategies I have come across during my blogging experience that allow me to get new visitors and traffic too. At first, share blog and all new post links with social networking sites like- facebook, twitter, linkedIn, pinterest and goggle plus. Second, add your blog and post links with social bookmarking sites like- stumbleupon.com, digg.com, delicious.com, reddit.com. Third, summit your blog address to blog search sites like- technorati.com, blogdex.com, popdes.com, daypop.com, ping-o-matic, blogdigger.com, indiblogger.com etc. Fourth, participate few forums and start commenting some blogs in your niche. Fifth, interact with your blog visitors/commenter regularly.
This article contains just the basics. There are lots more you will have to discover to complete yourself, but what’s here will get you on the road to become pro-blogger.
